Drawing tutorials from comic artist, David Finch. Everything from dynamic heroes, to intricate backgrounds, storytelling, and common problems new artists face. These tutorials are an accessory to my full length, in depth tutorials available on my website. dfinchartist.com
Studying Bridgmen for Figure Drawing
This video is all about studying Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing From Life. This is part two of my getting started learning to draw comics series, so if you haven't watched part one, I highly recommend that you watch that first. Bridgman is the foundation of my figure drawing, and this kind of study, whether from Bridgman, or another source of your choosing, is an essential part of your development as a figurative artist.

Amazing
Rather not see Eric draw at all. Just Finch
MR. FINCH: you said you were using the same inking tool as Dan Panosian. What precise brush pen is that? Would you please give details? Thank you! Love your work very much.
good stuff dude thanks for the free art lesson, trying to put together an anthology/ec comics/heavy metal type thing if i ever finish er, you sir get a free copy
"The frontal whatever" 🤌Knowing the anatomy terminology is great. But knowing the shapes is what helps. Thanks for always having that subtly mentioned in your work!
Thank you for making your videos using a pencil instead of using a digital device. A pencil makes things more alive and spontaneous.

“If you need to draw a large round room, that can be pretty much impossible…” me: watching this video so I can figure out how to draw a large round room in perspective. Your videos are life savers for real.
I tried to like this video multiple times after I already liked it lol.

Had to pay you a compliment Dave. I loved the style of feet you chose to give venom. I think more of a rough spontaneous type of character when picturing venom rather than someone as neat as Spider-Man. Your venom feet make a lot of sense. You also show me how highly rendered comics can be teaching me so much, though I’m aiming more towards concept art and illustration. You have opened my eyes to the world of comics
I owned this book when I was in middle school. I loved to sketch, I created my own superheros, villains, and storylines. My potential company was called WONDER COMICS. This book helped me very much. John Buscema was always my favorite artist.

I can't believe I missed this LIVE!!! SWEET work!!
Drawing faces is fun! This method makes it even more fun because it's like building with Lego pieces.

Honestly Meredith is the best 😂
Mannn how do I keep missing the streams all the sudden?? I never missed these for such a long time 😭
i like how your actually telling us what to do, like conciously making sure we dont draw the same sizing ,what shaping to use ,exc. alot of tutorials are just like “draw a line, make it look like fire, and done! you drew fire!” 😹
This video make me wanna quit at drawing
Like the info you share. But looking at supplies list. The staedler lead holder, is there a set lead size. Basically there are different lead holders out there, what is the actual whole name the staedler lead holder?
😅 perdi a live 😑 sou brasileiro é nao entendo inglês mas adoro seus desenhos
Cool idea you did a great job the Shoes look Awesome.
This how hell look like for artists
Please Mr finch I need your help😢
Dude during the pandemic so many of my favorite tattoo artists were doing sneakers I really wish I could have snagged a pair but they were going for a lot of money
this was a short stream but it was still amazing :) great job everyone ✌🏼
Sou do Brasil ❤
wow .... nice :0 . and i am glad mnd is back :3 i usualy catch it live but this was a short stream :)
man i was late 😭 . they look amazing David.
This looks amazing, very well done! I've been considering doing something similar to this and I'm curious what materials/supplies you're using, what prep work you did, how well it holds up...etc. Would you consider doing a "post-mortem" video on this project, maybe with some voice over commentary about your experiences throughout the process? You could detail what worked for you & what didn't, what you liked or hated about it, what would you do or try differently if you did this again... If not that's fine, this was still great to watch. Impressive work!
{({ Short rant about RUclips; Unrelated to video topic })} Man, RUclips is the worst. Not even 3½ minutes into the video and BAM!! An "ad". Not just an "ad".... But a fucking ONE HOUR LONG, (nearly)FEATURE LENGTH "AD"!?! 🤦♂️ A one hour run time IS NOT AN "AD", G0⁰°GLE... Its a damn mini documentary on what is likely to be a shitty ass product or highly predatory service....
That's a seriously awesome Nike customization!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Are they saying that this is David finch ? because I seen a blck had.
Nnooooo im a min late
Dang I missed it
